What The Future Will Bring
The future can either hold what it brings to someone in a matter of years, or in a matter of
seconds. Preparing how to manage time and choosing classes seems easy, up until you have to
eliminate the fact that there are multiple students applying for the same classes and same time as
you. It all matters. To organize what classes that are needed to be taken, I organized how many
hours the activities and priorities I have right now, take on my life weekly.
Current Time Usage
The chart below shows the amount of hours the main things that I do each week, have on
my life. The five things that are shown in the graph are: School, Work, Social, Music for the
reasons being that I do not watch TV, and Computer. The graph shows the total amount at the end
of the week for each activity.

Post-Secondary Time Usage

The chart shows the total amount of time that several activities consume during the week. It is
different than the first chart because this compares more than just a few variables. It allows to be
able to see how long a certain activity takes during the week.

The differences that take place in what I do right now and what could possibly be my
future, is definitely the opposite. In the first chart, it is obvious that the one that is taking most of
my time and hours each week is the consistency of my work, however, in the second chart,
homework is the one taking the biggest time from my life. The similarities are around the same
amount of

hours for classes, just a difference of a few hours, rather than multiple hour differences. What
surprised me was how I would be spending more time doing homework, than in class. What
could worry me in the future is that I will not be able to have enough time to work, and even
though that sounds like a relief, I'm worried it will cause some debt issues for me later on. What I
learned about signing up for classes is that in high school, you picture everything the exact
'picture perfect' college life and what times classes will start and end for you, but in reality, you
are one of the thousands signing up for classes and it is very unlikely to get the classes on the
times you desire. I learned that I hope I am dedicated 10x more in college than I am right now.
