Music Is My Life
Grover Dan Broces
Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the
most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us. I am Grover Dan Broces, 49 years
old. My story goes like this, when I was 8 months old inside the womb of my mother, my father
conducting a choir and my mother says that I was moving inside her womb just like conducting
too. When my father stops conducting I also stop too and my father and mother were very happy
and laughing that time. As years went by, when I was around 5 years old whenever there is a
church gathering my mother realize that I love music because every time we have our church
gathering I always sit beside the organist so that I can observe. And that was the early indications
that I need to enroll to a piano lesson at 7 years old I became a member of a public choir in
Tagum, Davao City. When I reach 13, it was my first exposure handling a choir. And our batch
was very responsible in handling the music. When I reach college I took up music and joined
solo competitions, choral competitions and now I am a choir conductor.

Biographical Criticism
I chose biographical criticism because
it states the life of the author, which Sir
Dan tells his story and it makes me easy
to do. As well as the readers easily
understand the story.
