Activity 1 (Lead-in)
Aim: to introduce the theme of the lesson
Procedure : Ss are asked to look at some pictures in the textbook and say what they have in common
.Then,they have to match words to make job titles(eg. university lecturer ,primary school teacher) .Teacher
elicits answers from the Ss

Activity 2
Aim: to express and justify opinions about what makes a good teacher( ex.2 page 137)
Procedure :Ss have to rank the points in order of importance(patience,being a good listener,strictness)

Activity 3
Aim :to skim the text to extract specific information
to read the text The Cyber Schoolfor general understanding
Procedure: Ss are asked to skim the text and tell their opinions about what they are going to read .Ss predict
the content of the text using title,highlighted words and pictures.After that, Ss read the whole text .The
unknown words are explained by the teacher and Ss put them down.

Aim: to practise useful vocabulary connected to school of the future.

Procedure : Students are encouraged to work in pairs and put down some characteristics of cyber-schools.
The teacher walks around acting as controller and assistant.

Aim: to encourage group-work
to make Ss give pros and cons and present them to the class
Procedure : The teacher asks the students to work in groups and find the advantages and disadvantages of
the traditional way of education as compared to the new way of education provided by cyber-schools.
The students representatives are asked to come in front of the class and present their conclusions.
The teacher walks around acting as controller and assistant.

Aim: to talk about places in a school
Procedure : Ss have to match some places to the pictures given by the exercise (ex.2a page 140) and speak
about the places in their own school(computer lab,science lab..).They can also discuss the differences
between Romanian and British schools (concerning the timetable and the canteen in British schools).Teacher
elicits answers from the class.

Aim :to evaluate Ss work
To assign Ss homework
Procedure: T grades some Ss and encourages the others. Ss are assigned to write a few things about how each
