Henry Mintzberg- The real manager.

We all like famous personalities. We are the followers of their

concepts, principles, thoughts etc. As a management student I am a great
follower of Henry Mintzberg.
The phrases management and Mintzberg are related together for four
more years. Mintzberg was the professor of management research at the McGill
university published his magnumopus called `` Nature of Managerial work``.
Mintzberg scientifically studied what manager did all day long, and he came to
some of conclusions that were pretty tremendous for that time.
In his new book named `Managing`, he propose that management is
neither a profession nor science but it is the act of practice. I like Mintzberg
because of his dedication to his profession. For writing the book he observed
twenty nine managers from different fields. He is an observer of nature as well
as human nature. He explains the real fact that no manager is developed in class
rooms. Natural experience and practice make a manager perfect.
Mintzberg has of the view that, in preference to differentiating between
leaders and managers, we view managers as leaders and leadership as successful
managing. Management is not pretty much the hierarchical relationship between
top level employees and subordinates, but additionally the lateral courting
between co-workers. Now days the concept of management has changed a lot
because of the technological innovations.
What is the major cause of the global financial recession? As per
Mintzbeg`s view, the top level management or leaders are the ultimate cause of
that depression. Actually I am in search of the answer for the above question. At
last from those great words I got the answer. Mintzberg is also the co-founder of
learning platform called `Coaching Ourselves. He also want to enjoy his free
time away from organisation, that is free from all worries and to enjoy the real
nature`s beauty.
