Philosophy of Education
Teachers are entrusted with the responsibility of creating an efficient
framework of operation for their classroom. This general framework should give
students, administrators and other stakeholders a clear picture of what is expected
academically, behaviorally and socially within the classroom. With a productive
learning environment in place the teacher can become the coach rather than an
enforcer, delivering and modeling lessons along with inspiring and motivating
students to do their best. The teacher is responsible for the strength, cohesion and
achievement of the group.
Students know what is expected in each task and give their best effort in a
variety of learning tasks and objectives. To positively contribute to the classroom,
students must simply give their best effort in each assigned task or expectation.
Curriculum is best presented in a general to specific progression, which
ensures that all students receive instruction that provides a strong background in
important general curricular areas such as literacy and mathematics. As students
advance throughout the grade-levels, opportunities such as courses in specific
areas such as the arts, music, physical education, science and other specialty areas
would be readily accessible.
Teaching methods that focus on the seven learning styles: visual, aural,
verbal, physical, logical, social and solitary create a more complete learner.
Students would be exposed to each of the learning styles several times within a

school year, which would enable them to discover their strongest learning style.
This approach would prepare students to respond to the teaching styles of any
professor or employer they may encounter. This variety would also provide a larger
arsenal of tools that the student could use to better communicate with in all aspects
of life.
The overall purpose of the school is to provide a safe, structured environment
where students learn essential curricular components and gain experience in a
variety of teaching and learning methods to better equip them for the changing
world.
