Latar Belakang

Patients with diabetes usually have meellitus despair in life and therefore the role of the
nurse is needed to help the activity of the patient's life.
Diabetes mellitus is a major health problem. Data from a global study showed that the
number of people with diabetes mellitus in 2011 has reached 366 million people. If no action is
dilakukam, this number is expected to rise to 552 million by 2030 . Diabetes mellitus has been
the cause of 4.6 million deaths. Besides health expenditure for diabetes mellitus has reached 465
billion USD (IDF, 2011). International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that as many as 183
million people are not aware that they have diabetes. 80% of people with diabetes live in low and
middle income countrie. In 2006, there were more than 50 million people suffer from diabetes in
Southeast Asia . The number of people with diabetes aged between 40-59 year.
B. Masalah
Ny. X berusia 45 tahun mengidap penyakit Diabetes Mellitus. Ny.X merasa merasa
putus asa dengan keadaan nya sehingga Ny.X tidak bersemangat lagi dalam menjalani
kehidupannya. Ny X ingin menghentikan pengobtan suntik insulin terhadap dirinya
karena dia merasa bahwa suntik insulin sangat membosankan dan tidak mendapatkan
hasil apa apa
