Design Firm Hires New Director of Marketing for Expansion
IRVINE, CALIF. - One of the Top 100 US design firm, H. Hendy Associates, hired its
first director of marketing as part of its plan for national expansion said CEO Henri
Hendy.

The new director, Pattie Breland, will manage development activities and assist in
obtaining new clients in all locations as the company expands to New York and Chicago,
said Hendy.

Based in Irvine, the interior planning and design firm offers services such as preliminary
building, site analysis, post-occupancy evaluation and industrial engineering. Its clients
include Disney Resorts, Nissan, General Foods and Microsoft. Architectural Digest ranks
the company among the top 100 design firms in the nation said Hendy.

Breland has been chosen based on her 20 years of experience in property management,
marketing and tenant improvements at JCM, PMLA and Lehrer McGovern Bovie, said
Hendy. Breland is an active member of International Development Research Corporation,

Management Association. Breland will begin work in the upcoming weeks, said Hendy.

Line-X Reveals First Environmentally Friendly Surface Protectant

SANTA ANA, CALIF.- The leader in spray-in-place surface coating-technology


announced the release of the first environmentally friendly, lifetime guaranteed coating,
Formula CIF said CEO J.B. Burtin.

Line-X, a division of the Burtin Corporation, perfected the coating over the course of five
years with an investment of $1 million. The protectant is designed mostly for outdoor
industries and harsh temperatures, said Burtin.

Formula CIF is perfect for todays environmentally conscious consumer looking to line
truck bedding and other coatings for outdoor use, said Burtin.

Formula CIF is VOC (volatile organic compound) free and guaranteed for life. The new
spray-in-place, polyurethane, surface coating technology protects surfaces from the
deteriorating effect of the suns ultraviolet rays, said Burtin.

Formula CIF will be on shelves Dec. 1, at the 435 Line-X dealerships. The product comes
in seven colors and four finishes including a finish for high temperatures up to 350
degrees, said Burtin.

Formula CIF will cost $20 per square foot and must be applied by a Line-X technician.
The company plans to eliminate VOCs in all Line-X products in the future said Burtin.

Free Louisiana High School 4-H Club Environmental Resolution Camp
SHREVEPORT, LA. High school 4-H Club members will help solve the states top
10 environmental issues at an exclusive three-day workshop, said Fred Sanders,
workshop coordinator.

The environmental resolution workshop, Building Common Ground is co-sponsored by


Louisiana State University Agricultural Center and 4-H-Club. Students will investigate
solutions to environmental threats including encroachment on wetlands, the soundness of
the levees and off shore drilling, said Sanders. The solutions will be presented to special
guest Anthony Capshaw, the esteemed chairman of the Louisiana Environmental Action
Plan (LEAP) committee, said Sanders.

LEAP was formed in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina by then Gov. Kathleen Blanco to
identify the states top 33 environmental issues. Participants will solve the top 10 issues
said Bill Branch, the co-coordinator of the workshops.

This program will enable participants to experience the process of resolving complicated
issues. This hands on workshop offers a once and lifetime opportunity, said Sanders.

The three-day overnight camp is offered on Oct. 16-18 and Oct. 23-25 at Camp Grant
Walker in Shreveport. In addition to discussing these pressing issues about the
environment, there will by horseback riding, activities by the near lake, and lodging
separated by gender said Sanders.

Graduate students from LSUs agricultural department will staff each workshop. Space is
limited to 100 students each weekend, said Sanders. Applications are found at

Neiman Marcus Releases First Corporate Gift Catalog
DALLAS-- Neiman Marcus will release a year-round corporate gift catalog, A Gift for
Business on Wed., Dec. 12. 1 said Randi McCollum, vice president of corporate sales.

The catalogue features a variety of corporate gifts including desk accessories, clocks,
stationary items, fine-writing-instruments and top brands such as Swarovski crystal,
Rolex, and a ruby encrusted MacBook Pro values at $10,000, said McCollum.

Business people, today dont just give gifts during the holiday season said McCollum.
Todays successful organizations use gifts as incentives to motivate and reward
employees for meeting or exceeding goals in personal and professional life said
McCollum.

The catalogs featured items are exclusive to corporate account holders with Neiman
Marcus. The catalog comes in a printed version, as an app, and an online version, said
McCollum.

The year-round catalog will be available because of high demand during the holiday

Orange County Museum of the Art Seeks Docents
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. The Newport Harbor Art Museum seeks docents for
its new $30 million wing holding the largest American folk art collection in the world,
said Director of Volunteers, Hillary Wolfe.
The $235 million collection features artwork by Norman Rockwell and Grandma
Moses, and encompasses around one thousand pieces of art. After two years of
construction, the new wing will open on Nov. 7 at an invitation-only-gala. Docents are
needed to work the gala, as well as work throughout the calendar year, said Wolfe.
Prospective docents must attend a coffee reception on Oct. 3, have a passion for
art, be at least 18-years-old, and be outgoing. Each docent must volunteer at least four
hours a month. Docents receive free admission to the museum and will be able to use
museum facilities, such as the sculpture garden, at a discount price, said Wolfe.
Docent training sessions are during two weekends, Friday, Oct. 16-17 and Oct.
23-24. The museum is open 10 a.m - 7 p.m Monday through Friday. Saturday 10 a.m 9
p.m. and Sunday 1p.m. 6 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $4 for seniors and students,
and free for members and children under 12.
