11-16 Transworld Moving, like other moving companies, closely follows the impact of road construction
to make sure that its routes remain the most efficient. Unfortunately, there has been unexpected road
construction due to a lack of planning for road repair around the town of New Haven, represented by
node 9 in the network. (See Problem 11-11.) All roads leading to node 9, except the road from node 9 to
node 11, can no longer be traveled. Does this have any impact on the route that should be used to ship
the office furniture and equipment of Cohen Properties to their new headquarters?

Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diatas, jarak minimum dari node 1 13 adalah 430, dengan rute melewati
node 1 3 5 7 10 13. Dengan adanya ketentuan bahwa node 6 dan node 8 tidak boleh melewati
node 9 maka tidak berpengaruh terhadap rute terpendek yang dapat dilewati.

11-20 A road construction project would increase the road capacity around the outside roads from
International Drive to Disney World by 200 cars per hour (see Problem 11-19). The two paths affected
would be 126911 and 1581011. What impact would this have on the total flow of cars? Would
the total flow of cars increase by 400 cars per hour?

Dengan adanya penambahan arus menjadi 200 mobil per jam untuk rute 126911 dan 1581011,

Total arus mobil =500 + 800 + 200 + 200 = 1700 mobil per jam.

Dengan adanya penambahan arus menjadi 200 mobil per jam berdampak akan meningkatkan total arus
mobil menjadi 1700 mobil per jam. Artinya penambahan total arus mobil yang ada melebihi 400 mobil
per jam.

11-29 Grey Construction would like to determine the least expensive way of connecting houses it is
building with cable TV. It has identified 11 possible branches or routes that could be used to connect the
