Multiple Specifications Can Be

Assigned to a Master Inspection

Summary
Multiple specifications may be the requirement of Customers / pharmacopoeia/Country specific legal
requirements. These specifications may consist of different tolerances or characteristic attributes.
A material may be used for different purposes .
The material can be valuated on the basis of multiple specifications and determine the "suitability" of the
material, which can subsequently be taken into account when dispatching the material.
This suitability helps to determine the specific customer or area.

Requirement
Multiple Specifications Are to Be Created for a Given MIC
Customers / pharmacopoeia/Country specific legal requirements can be met by creating multiple
specifications to a MIC.
These specifications may be different from each other.
A material may be used for different purposes.
The system will check the multiple specifications, when inspection results for the material are valuated.
System checks the recorded values for each and every specification and valuates the suitability.
This suitability helps to determine the specific customer or area.
Process Flow
1. Inbound process material is selected QS8X60
2. QM view and Inspection Type is activated for the above material.
In the inspection type, flag the multiple specs. check box.
3.

Inspection Plan and other prerequisite for the multiple specifications are met.

4. Create Purchase Order.


5. GR is carried out.
6. System generates Inspection Lot.

7.

Result Recording is carried out.

7.1 The recorded value 8.5 suits only Bahrain.
After closing the MIC, click

7.2 The recorded value 12.6 suits Denmark, Germany and France.
It does not suit Bahrain.

7.4 The recorded value 13.91 suits only Germany.
It does not suit Bahrain, Denmark and France.
After closing the MIC, click

When the regular MIC is valuated, each and every multiple specification objects checks the corresponding
spec. and automatically evaluates.
With in the range gets green color and outside the range gets red color.
The most important point to be noted The system evaluates and displays to which country the product is
suitable.
We can have any number of specifications.

Prerequisite for the Multiple Specifications


Step 1: Customization Requirements - Maintain Settings at Client Level.
Quality Management Basic Settings Maintain Settings at Client Level
Inspection Specification -> Multiple Specifications check box to be flagged.

Step 2: Customization Requirements - Define Object Types for Multiple Specifications


Quality Management Quality Planning Inspection Planning General Multiple Specifications
Define Object Types for Multiple Specifications
Please does not change the System defined Object Types.
In case of need, standard object type can be copied.
For this article, System defined Object Types are used.

Activate the multiple specifications for the Inspection. Type 01 Default Values.

Step 5: Master Data Setting - The Multiple Specs Checkbox is Flagged in Material Master
The Multiple Specs check box is flagged in Material Master.
Material Master QM View Inspection Type - 01 The Multiple Specs check box is flagged.

Step 6: Master Data Setting - The Multiple Specs Checkbox is Flagged in Engineering Workbench
The Multiple Specs check box is flagged in Engineering Workbench.

Click Quality Management tab.
Flag the Multiple specification check box.
Save.

Now check the Inspection Plan, using the TC: QP03.

The multiple specifications check box is flagged automatically.

Step 7: Master Data Setting - Do the Material Task List Assignment


DO the Material task list assignment.
Select the Material task list assignment overview.

Step 8: Master Data Setting - Enter the Dependent Characteristic Specifications


Enter the Dependent Characteristic Specifications.
Select the Dependent Characteristic Specification Overview.

Select all the four items and click the Quantitative data.

Create Multiple Specification.

Enter the specification and save it.


These Specifications are subset of Specification defined in routing.
