My tips for Baker making a montage:

Composite all clips first then use on main comp

Press command and pass through song / clips
Use the eye symbol to open and close layers
Use adjustment layers
Ram preview skip frame to 1
CC lens blur seems nice for distort/drop
F9 to ease through (Twixtor)
Vertigo effect: Key frame first scale (100) then another key frame
300% for example then to last key frame as (100). Change
position and rotation (from left to right) would look cooler.
Quick tip: Cmd + Shift + W -> close all comps at once
Another quick tip for quick key framing parameters: press alt +
(parameter) and it will automatically key frame the parameter.
j(go left) k(go right) when going through key frames.
Control + .(period) = play through song
Basic typography and motion graphics:
Press Y to move the anchor point.
3d flip transition:
Null object over the two clips that you want to apply the transition.
Then, parent the two clips to the null object + apply 3d mode. Apply
key frame in the gap and press r for rotation. After go to the y
parameter and type 180 and go the same distance as gap and key
frame again.
Advance Depth of Field (lens Blur):
Requirements clip that is static with a moving object.
