Advisory Committee Meeting
Meeting Minutes
Friday, September 11, 2015

Welcome and Call to Order

Those in attendance were Melissa Womack, Dr. Alicia Brown, Barry Adcock,
and Lisa Whisler.

Current Business
The purpose of this meeting is to pull together a new advisory committee
with some new members and some consistent members from the past.
The new business teacher at AHS comes to us from Morgan County, Georgia,
where she taught middle school. Melissa Womack will be teaching business
courses and advising FBLA.

Advisory Committee Members

We discussed the advisory list. Barry was going to reach out to a few
members for confirmation to continue on the advisory board.
We discussed possible student and parent members: Karen Perez or Daniel
Standridge
In addition, we need to add business instructors from Georgia Highlands
College and Chattahoochee Technical College. Dr. Tina Brush is a great
contact from Georgia Highlands.
We would also like to add someone from Barnsley Gardens Inn and Resort to
represent the organization on our Committee. Lisa is going to talk with Angela
Moore to find out who we can contact at Barnsley.

New Business
Monitoring and Risk Assessment, formerly known as Compliance Review, will
be October 29, 2015. The Committee will need to meet again before this
date.

We need to get a copy of the bylaws, mission statement and goals of the
business and computer science department.

We will generate a list of guest speakers from our Advisory Committee list.
Next Meeting Date

The Committee will choose from the following dates: October 20, 21, and 22 at 4:30
at NorthSide Bank in Adairsville.
