EXT. FOREST MORNING

Fade in from black

FLOYD ANGSMITH is shown with a bow, aiming at a white-furred
bear, the sound of a deep breath as Floyd steadies his aim.
Cut to trees rustling as bear roar sounds and birds fly from
trees. Floyd is carrying a white hide through the forest
whistling. As he walks past trees, 5 people are shown
following him. As he nears his camp, he is ambushed by the
robbers. They beat him, take his hides and gun. Several shots
show his family being harassed and their throats slit in front
of him. Audible laughing from CARTER BATES and the clan of
robbers.
FLOYD
No! Please! Take anything
But leave them! No, (speech
slurs) please.

Floyd cries before passing out.

FADE OUT AS EYES CLOSE

Screen is black, inaudible muttering heard. Muffled screams of

young boy sound.
ROBBER 1
Lets get the shit and go,
Itll be nightfall before we
Know it and The tavern will
hit lock up!
CARTER BATES
(calmly) Roll out.
Running sounds.
FADE TO BLACK

EXT. FOREST AFTERNOON

Floyd regains consciousness, NOMAD has established a camp
around Floyd ransacked establishment. Floyd notices him and
panics, hiding under a destroyed tent. Frame shows Floyd
trying to remain still and silent under the sheeting.
NOMAD
Good morning! Im no threat,
Please come out and enjoy
Some eats with me, what do
Ya say?
Floyd remains silent. The nomad leaves a tin of beans open
with a fork beside the broken tent. Frame shows Nomad eating
his beans contently.
NOMAD
If ya want, you could off me
With that fork right there,
But I figure yous is tired
And I help yout looks
Like A shit shop up in ere.
Floyd slowly removes the tent and snatches the beans. He
smells them, then scoffs them. He feels for his bow, which is
absent.
FLOYD
I dont care who you are,
I want my bow and I want to
know where those bastards are!
NOMAD
I assume you mean who did this
Ya? I saw a band of brothers
Head towards hells basin, I
fixed your bow, Ill take care
of These lost souls.
FADE OUT

EXT. WOODLANDS AFTERNOON

Two of the 5 robbers are sat around on a log around a camp,
brandishing knives.
ROBBER 1
Great score, ey? Couple knives,
Bit of grub and skins (Laughs)
ROBBER 2
Think the bosss gone soft, not
Finishing that bugger back there.
Way to get kBlood splats everywhere ROBBER 2 has been shot in the head.
He slumps onto the ground. ROBBER 1, covered in blood, turns
and sees FLOYD. He ducks as Floyd runs over. FLOYD stops,
aims. ROBBER 1 is panicking. Floyd fires the arrow. The log
splinters and injures ROBBER 1, who is now on the floor. Floyd
walks over.
FLOYD
(Furious) You killed my family,
Now youll beg for death.
ROBBER 1
(In pain) Your boy, hes
Alive, theyre heading to the
Tavern. But that cunt spawn is
Long gone.
The robber spits blood at FLOYD. He directs to a map on the
ground.
FLOYD
Much obliged.
FLOYD draws a knife. Camera rises away from the two. Screaming
is heard and sounds of cutting and blood splatter are audible.

EXT. WOODLANDS 1 HOUR LATER

Zoom out from map. FLOYD is reading the map while walking
stealthily in attempt to find Hells Basin. He passes
several landmarks that are spotted on the maps. He then hears
inaudible muttering, shouting and laughter. He takes cover
behind a tree. CARTER is talking to ROBBER 3 by a tent. ROBBER
4 is lingering around the tents.
ROBBER 3
Hey boss, whats with the
boy, hes walkin' bait surely
for'us right?
CARTER
(sneering) If the pig hunter
comes,the boy dies, if he
doesn't, the boy is sold, Now
fetch some firewood, we can't
be freezing at nightfall now
Can we?
ROBBER 3 walks out of view of the others. FLOYD is aiming a
shot on ROBBER 3. He shoots him as he walks behind a tree.
ROBBER 4 and CARTER are alerted. FLOYD runs into the campsite,
firing at ROBBER 4. CARTER grabs HAROLD and disappears. ROBBER
4 looks for a weapon by a tent, but is shot by FLOYD in the
chest. FLOYD ransacks the tents looking for CARTER and HAROLD,
but fails. CARTER'S voice is heard dominantly without vision
of him.

CARTER
You couldn't let it go now,
could ya? A petty crime of
my collection, and you want
me to pay for it?
hysterically)

(laughs

FLOYD
You're inhuman, you killed
my family and you WILL repent

CARTER appears from behind a tree, holding a knife to Harold's

throat. (DOLLY ZOOM ON FLOYDS FACE)
HAROLD
(struggling)Father! Please
don't let him

do this!

CARTER
What's it going to be, scumbag;
Vengeance, at the cost of your
beloved son; or amnesty?
SILENCE
CARTER
Silence speaks a thousand words,
(Rejoycing) too late!

CARTER reaches for weapon. FLOYD reacts, raises his bow.

Gunshot sounds. Camera shot from behind pivot round to see
an arrow in CARTERS eye. CARTER falls out of frame. HAROLD and
FLOYD embrace. A gunshot is shown as Floyd winces/Harold
releases hug.
FLOYD
Let's go home.
