like we never had a chance. While
in Mayas she quotes Out of the
huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise.

she has less lines and Stanzas
than Mayas poem.

In Demis song there is around


thirty-six lines and eight stanza
while in Mayas poem she has
forty-three lines and nine stanzas in
total. (By counting them.)
