Reflection: Innovation and change course really had benefit me in this semester. I have learned
a lot of different things. The tasks that we did it for each title of the four that we
have been good since it let us to work independently to find out the answers and to
do some research. They were four different tasks which they are: why education
change, management models, leadership, authority and accountability. Each of
them was interesting and benefit me as a student and as a future teacher. The most
important thing that I learned it, is the different between the leader and the
management since each of them have features and characteristics that I can
distinguish between them. This course changed my thought about the principles in
the schools because I thought that they are only given instructions to the teachers
and students what to do and what not to do but this had change since I learned
about the leadership and the leadership is different since it help others, inspire and
care about everyone in the school. Moreover, I learned about the management
models and they are two and different from each other. The first one is bureaucratic
model and it use the top down management and the second is collegial model and I
think for this model it must be a leader not a management for the reason that the
power of this model is shared. Almost the innovation linked to be positive and an
evidence of it, is the small scale change assessment that we did it in the period of
our teaching practice in semester 7 was new for me and it was interesting at the
same time. My change was about the classroom environment and I think the
students really were benefit from it because while I am in my teaching practice I
observed how they were excited about the change even the little things. This
assessment gave me an experience how the innovation is good because it is our
own creativity about the change and our own ideas how we will do it. It was a big
chance to me to do the innovation and I felt great and successes about it since I
saw how the students were engaged and interest about it and at the same time I
had fun while I am doing the innovation. I have gained that the innovation has a big
impact for the teachers and the students. For example, after I have change the
class for the students and add some ides to it the students were engaged a lot and
they love to do group work more than before and it help the teacher in doing her
activities in the best way.
