DELIVERY
Control immediately after delivery for visible damages on the variable shunt
reactor. Any damages incurred during transport shall be notified to Swedish
Neutral.
Damages to the coating should be repaired immediately.
3.
COMMISSIONING
3.1.
ASSEMBLY
Variable shunt reactor are delivered in a ready-for-operation condition.

Connection 1U, 1V, 1W are to be connected to the high voltage bus bar. The
protection earthing must be connected separately to Earth.
Auxiliary voltage to the coil shall be connected to terminal group X1, terminal
block 1 and 2. Remote control of the coil is connected to terminal block X4.
After connecting the main circuit, auxiliary voltage and remote control, the VSR
is ready for operation.
3.2.
MANUAL OPERATION
Setting of the coil position can be done locally from the panel on the coils panel
box or remotely through terminal X4 or protocol.
4.
MAINTENANCE
Variable shunt reactors are maintenance free. Inspection should be done at

suitable intervals.
