Cooper Sanders: Good morning listeners and welcome to what appears to be another
beautiful, sunny day here in Mexas. I am your host, Cooper Sanders and todays show
promises to deliver the much anticipated interview with former President of the
United States of Adania, Mr Eddie Chung. Right now, heres The Moths with Save It
For Another Day.
[song: Save It For Another Day artist: The Moths duration 3:43]
Cooper Sanders: Welcome back listeners. My guest today is the former President of
the United States of Adania, Mr Eddie Chung. Mr Chung, welcome to the show.
Eddie Chung: Good morning fellow Adanians and thank you for having me on your
show Cooper.
Cooper Sanders: May I call you Eddie?
Eddie Chung: Sure, Eddie is fine.
Cooper Sanders: Eddie, you havent taken an interview in three years. Not since
your release from prison to be precise. Why?
Eddie Chung: Cooper, I thought we agreed that
Cooper Sanders: Oh right, you dont want to talk about your prison time. But Im not
asking about that, Im asking about the time after your sentence. Where have you
been?
Eddie Chung: Ive been busy.
Cooper Sanders: Doing what exactly?
Eddie Chung: Rebuilding trust.
Cooper Sanders: I see. For some of our younger listeners, lets recount your fall from
grace. Your election campaign was marred with significant controversy Watch
Magazine once described it as the ugliest election campaign in modern history.
Would you agree with that assessment now?
Eddie Chung: It was challenging, yes.
Cooper Sanders: Challenging is a bit of an understatement I think. You accused your
opposition, Benjamin Trask, of having an intimate relationship with his adopted
daughter if I remember correctly.
Eddie Chung: Well a lot of things are said in the heat of battle. Do I regret some of
it? Of course I do, but you cant change the past.

Cooper Sanders: In the election debates, you also called him a racist, ninety six
times over the three debates to be precise. Do you still believe hes a racist?
Eddie Chung: Cooper, are we going to focus on the past or move on to the future? I
thought at the time he was racist, I no longer think that way now.
Cooper Sanders: What evidence did you have that he was having an inappropriate
relationship with his adopted daughter?
Eddie Chung: You know Cooper, a picture says a thousand words. We all saw the
photos
Cooper Sanders: Are you referring to the beach photo?
Eddie Chung: Yes, yes we all saw the photos.
Cooper Sanders: It was later proven in court that you hired dozens of reporters,
photographers and private investigators to follow Benjamin Trask. You followed him
twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The photo in question turned out to be an
image of him giving CPR to his daughter when she almost drowned on that beach.
Eddie Chung: Like I said, I have a few regrets about my campaign but I won didnt
I?
Cooper Sanders: Yes, you won in that sense I suppose.
Eddie Chung: What is that supposed to mean?
Cooper Sanders: You were later jailed for
Eddie Chung: We agreed not to discuss that Cooper.
Cooper Sanders: Yes, so we did. Lets move on from the campaign now and talk
about your Presidency. Do you think you were a good President?
Eddie Chung: Of course.
Cooper Sanders: During your Presidency, the GDP was at an all time low of less
than 0.23% and unemployment was at a record 19%. You also accumulated 2 trillion
dollars in national debt, almost double that of any President who came before you.
How do you respond?
Eddie Chung: You need to break a few eggs to make a cake Cooper. You seem
focussed on the negatives but dont forget the positives. It was me who brought in
solar powered cars, me who signed a free trade agreement with Char and me who
well you get the picture.

Cooper Sanders: On the topic of solar powered cars, were you aware of the
economic impact theyd have on Adania? Why was Char given the sole
manufacturing and distribution rights for the cars?
Eddie Chung: I was more concerned with the reduction of emissions and the future
of our children. Our climate is changing Cooper.
Cooper Sanders: Yes, there is no denying that but hundreds of thousands of people
lost their jobs.
Eddie Chung: Like I said Cooper, you have to break a few eggs.
Cooper Sanders: As for your free trade agreement with Char, that was revoked by
you successor. You were also investigated by the ABI for trading top secret
government documents with the leader of Char at a Global Leaders conference.
Eddie Chung: I was cleared of those allegations Cooper.
Cooper Sanders: Yes but many have claimed the ABI swept it under the carpet.
Eddie Chung: Who said that? I never read that in the media.
Cooper Sanders: Speaking of the media, it has also been said that you were reported
on selectively by main stream media. Many claim that you owned the media.
Benjamin Trask believed the media was incredibly biased in your favour throughout
his election campaign. The media went so far as to report on insignificant events
regarding Trask, while newsworthy events concerning you were overlooked. Can you
see where hes coming from?
Eddie Chung: No, not at all Cooper. I thought the media was very fair and
completely impartial throughout.
Cooper Sanders: An example was when Trask refused to eat sushi on national
television.
Eddie Chung: Yes, a blatant example of his racism. Clearly, raw fish isnt western
enough for Trask.
Cooper Sanders: But Trask later confirmed hes allergic to seafood.
Eddie Chung: There was always an excuse with Trask. Unlike me, hed never take
ownership of his failings.
Cooper Sanders: My point is, the media ran that story for six days. He was labelled a
racist and the mud stuck it was the turning point for his campaign. During the same
period, you were discovered snorting cocaine with a naked underage male and the
media barely gave it a days worth of press coverage.

Eddie Chung: It wasnt a big story then and isnt a big story now Cooper. People
need to move on and the press did the right thing to ignore it. Perhaps you should as
well.
Cooper Sanders: Lets talk about your private life. Youve been married to Arthur
Goldsman for a year now. Prior to that, you were married to Frank Peters, Nigel
Downing and David Umbridge. Do you think Arthur is the one?
Eddie Chung: Arthur? God no, I havent seen Arthur in well at least three months
now. Im currently dating George Friedberg. Arthur and I are in the midst of a
divorce.
Cooper Sanders: I wasnt aware of that, my apologies for the confusion. I hope my
other facts are still current here. You were last living in Durton, are you still there?
Eddie Chung: Yes but Im in the process of moving.
Cooper Sanders: Are you able to say where youre moving to?
Eddie Chung: Sure, sure probably to Char. Georgie and I havent made up our
minds yet.
Cooper Sanders: To Char?
Eddie Chung: Yes, I have quite a few properties there and many friends. Its time to
find somewhere to settle down - you know?
Cooper Sanders: I see. So you have no plans to settle here in Adania?
Eddie Chung: Oh, hell no. The people of Adania betrayed me when they sent me to
prison. Theres no coming back from that.
Cooper Sanders: But you said earlier you were rebuilding trust?
Eddie Chung: I know what I said Cooper. The good people of Char have been put
through a lot because of Adania and Ive been working hard to fix that.
Cooper Sanders: Sorry I misunderstood you I thought you meant you were
rebuilding trust with the people of Adania. The people who elected you to govern
their country. The people you betrayed when
Eddie Chung: OK, Ive had enough of this. I told you we were not going to discuss
the prison thing and youve gone and brought it up three times now. This interview is
over.
