Unit 7 Vocabulary
-You will create a flashcard for each word listed.

INB on test day.

Compound Interest: when a bank pays interest on


both the principal and the interest an account has
already earned
Decay Factor: the base, b, which equals 1 minus the
percent rate of change expressed as a decimal
Exponential Decay: model by the function y= a x bx
where a>0 and 0<b<1
**Exponential Function: a function of the form y= a x
bx
Exponential Growth: model by the function y= a x bx
where a>0 and b>1
Growth Factor: the base, b, which equals 1 plus the
percent rate of change expressed as a decimal
Index: gives the degree of the root
