Welcome to 5th grade! I am SO excited to get to know you and your

child.
As the classroom teacher, I will lead, guide, and support your learner
through an authentic and invaluable education. This year, I will instruct
the students through grade level content standards and work to
enhance growth in each individual within the classroom daily. Our
school utilizes the common core state standards, which can be viewed
on the website, www.corestandards.org. These standards will be
presented in a multitude of ways.
Through modeling, discussions, videos, field trips, and classroom
activities, it is my goal to engage the students and successfully guide
them through this academic year.

Here is a little bit about me:
I love sports. I am a coach for a team of athletes with physical
disabilities based in Grand Rapids, called the Grand Rapids
Eagles. We are always looking for more athletes!
I am a HUGE fan of dogs and am more than willing to brag about
my one-year-old golden retriever!

Bienvenidos al 5 grado! Estoy muy emocionada de conocer a usted
ya su hijo. Como maestro de aula, Yo liderar, guiar y apoyar a mis
estudiantes a travs de una educacin autntica e invaluable. Este
ao, voy a instruir a los estudiantes a travs de los estndares de
contenido de nivel de grado y trabajar para mejorar el crecimiento en
cada individuo dentro del aula diariamente. Nuestra escuela utiliza los
estndares comunes del estado del ncleo, que se pueden ver en el

Estos estndares se presentarn en una multitud de maneras. A
travs del modelado, discusiones, videos, excursiones y actividades en
