INTRODUCTION
STELLA (Systems Thinking, Experimental Learning Laboratory with
Animation) is a flexible computer modelling package with an easy,
intuitive interface that allow users to construct dynamic models that
realistically stimulate biological system.
STELLA is targeted more toward educational and research.
More experiment can be conduct using this software
STELLA system is ideal to interface with student investigative
experience for given the combination of ease of use and modelling
power.
Actually, modelling in STELLA proceeds in three steps that is
constructing a qualitative model, parameterizing it and exploring
the models dynamics.

APPLICATION
FOR EDUCATION

STELLA software can be used for teaching and learning in school

because it provide a fertile learning environment for students.
The use of simulated activities in education is widely becoming
recognized as an important tool in schools.

STELLA software can be used in school is it easy to construct.

Although to build simulation software need a lot of money but it
often cheaper to create than their real life counterparts.

ADVANTAGES
computer simulation offers the opportunity to experiment with
phenomena or events, which for a number of reasons,
cannot normally be experimented with in the traditional way
computer simulation programs can be used in education to
give the student more feeling for reality in some abstract fields
of learning.
the apparatus necessary to carry out an experiment in reality
is too expensive and often this apparatus can only be
operated by specialists, if it can be obtained at all
It save cost

DISADVANTAGES
stimulation error
difficult to interpret the simulation results as the
erroneous assumptions
it could be difficult for us to read the results of simulation
model test because the simulation model could be too
complex or too simple which this may lead to the less
successful for development purpose
