Create a QR Code Hunt

1. Choose a topic: Art and Artist
2. Identify the standards and write objectives:
Content Area: Visual Arts
Grade Level Expectations: Seventh Grade
Standard: 1. Observe and Learn to Comprehend
2. Understanding works of art involves knowledge of
historical and cultural styles, genre, and artists over
time.
3. Determine how you want students to proceed through the QR code
hunt and what they are to do with the information or what they are to
do at each clue. Describe your method here:
Students will explore famous artwork and artist. Students will be
given a Bingo card and asked to find each answer on their card.
Questions will be located throughout the room. There will be
artwork displayed throughout the room connecting to the artist the
questions are based on. After students answer their questions they
will write a creative writing piece from one of the prompts based on
what they learned.
Prompts:
Which Artist are you most like? Which piece of artwork spoke to you
the most, Why? Why do you think an artist would want to keep their
identity a secret? What made (a particular) the artist have an
impact on the art world?
4. Write at least 10 questions or prompts (see table below):
5. Create a QR code for each question/prompt. Copy and paste the QR
code next to each question/prompt above. QR codes can link to text,
web sites, images, and more!
There are a lot of QR code generators. Some have colors, some allow many
options, some are just black and white, and some force you to download the
QR code.
This QR code generator allows you to copy and paste rather than download:

This one has lots of options and color: http://www.qrstuff.com/
6. Here is a QR code hunt generator: http://www.classtools.net/QR/ - it is
preferable for you to try the do it yourself QR code generators rather
than class tools. If you are struggling, then refer to class tools for help.
