Job:

Chapter 1

Job, He had 7 sons and 3 daughters

7000 sheep
3000 camels
500 yoke of oxen
500 she-asses ( female donkeys)
And ton of animals (lol)

When feasts have run its course job would

Sanctify them
Wake up early
Offer holocaust for everyone

Satan came and asked God to test Job

1st Messenger:
Sabeans carried the oxens and the asses off to a raid
2nd Messenger
Lightning struck the sheep and their sheperds
3rd Messenger
Chaldeans formed 3 collumns , seized the camels, carried them off and put those
tending them with a sword.
4th messenger
Wind from dessert and destroyed the four corners of your house, house crumbled.
Family dead.

Even if everything was taken away from him, Job did not sin nor did he say
anything disrespectful of God.

CHAPTER 2
Satan came again for the second time

Skin for skin, do things to him (his body) then he will blaspheme you to your
face
God let Satan touch him in one condition: keep him alive.

Satan smote job and gave him these boils from the soles of his feet to the
crown of his head
His wife told him are you still holding to your innocence? Curse God and
Die.
And through all this he still did not sin against god.
Jobs 3 friends: Eliphaz (from Teman), Bildad (from shuh), Zophar (from
Naamath)
They sat down upon the ground with him for 7 days and 7 nights but none of
them spoke a single word to him for they saw how great was his suffering
( daYUUM)

Chapter 3:
7th day
After this Job cursed his day
Perish the day on which I was born the night when they said the child is a boy
. He curses the day he was born and death
Chapter 4
Eliphaz
Summarized version of what he said
if someone talks to you, how long will you try to avoid speaking. Youve done such
great things for the feeble but when it comes to you, you are impatient, when it
touches you, you are dismayed. Is not your piety a source of confidence

Bildad and Zophar agrees that Job must have commited sin which had
offended God in any sort of way.
Bildad assumes that Jobs children brought their deaths upon themselves
Zophar assumes that job has sin which deserves greater punishment than
what he received
Job gets irritated of his friends calling them worthless physicians who
whitewash with lies

chapter 4-37
Eliphaz, Bildad, Zophar.
Throughout the conversation as Job was ranting, they were the 3 wise men
who thought that Job sinned against God greatly (he didnt), thus God punishing
him.

Chapter 38.
God appeared through storm and said who is this that obscures divine plans
with words of ignorance
Then God lectures Job, He asks Job questions about creation
And job apologized
I know that you can do all things and that no purpose of yours can be hindered.
I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for
me which I cannot know. I had head of you by word of mouth but now I my eye
has seen you. Therefore, I disown what I have said, and repent in dust in ashes
God was pleased by his reply although he was still mad with Eliphaz, Bildad and
Zophar as they were saying balderdash without any proof. Job came to the
rescue and intercedes for their behalf
Epilogue
God told Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar

To Take 7 bullocks
7 rams
