To Whom It May Concern,

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Jessica Pagtulingan. Jessica was
a student teacher in my Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) class last school
year at Kuhio Elementary School. During that time Jessica worked with students in different
grades during their STEM lessons.
As a student teacher, Jessica developed an engaging lesson for third grade students on stars that
integrated English Language Arts, Science and Art. It was a well-planned lesson, with clear
directions and transitions. She was able to facilitate this lesson on her own. The students enjoyed
this lesson greatly as they learned about myths that explain constellations and factual information
about stars.
Jessica is a very reflective teacher and carefully considers any suggestions given to her. She was
able to research information, as well as integrate across content areas. Jessica is an enthusiastic
teacher. She developed a warm relationship with the students and was very supportive of their
learning.
