Introduction:
Students designed a circuit that would display the date of birth
of the student. My birthday is December 15, 1998. This project was conducted so
students could demonstrate the knowledge of NOR, NAND, and AOI circuits, and
how they apply in K-maps, Logic Expressions, Truth Tables, and the physical wiring
of the actual circuits on FPGA boards.

Conclusion: First a Truth Table for my birthday was created. Then K-maps were
made for each letter segment of the seven-segment-display. I found difficulty with
this part because of the great precision it took to arrange the numbers in the correct
places. Also, finding the correct groupings on the K-maps to create the correct Logic
Expression for each segment was difficult. These Logic Expressions were used to
create a multisim to check if the circuit functioned correctly. Once the multisim was
corrected, I created a NAND and NOR circuit for F and G. This multisim circuit was
transferred to the PLD system, and the actual system was created.
