GSA Meeting
The Gay Straight Alliance will be having a meeting on Thursday,
December 15th in room 4. Come join us to help spread equality and
acceptance on campus, and decorate cookies! Hope to see you there!
Canned Food Drive
The Canned Food Drive is here! Well be collecting cans and new toys
until December 16th
. Please note, they cannot use bottled water, so
please bring in other non-perishable items. Were in a competition
with Bristow and Edna Hill to see who can bring the most donations!
The winning school will get a special trophy. All donations go to
families in Brentwood who need food and gifts for the holidays. Each
item you bring in is worth 1 point for your advisory class and you will
get a special raffle ticket. These tickets can be turned in to the library
for a chance to win an item of your choice at the winter rally! Well
be giving away prizes like a kindle fire, popcorn machine, bluetooth
speaker, fitness tracker, and a quadcopter. Plus, multiple gift cards!
Sound good? It gets better! The advisory class in each grade level that
brings in the most donations will get an ice cream sandwich party!
Community Service Opportunity!
Looking to give back during the Holidays? The Brentwood Community
Chest is looking for help sorting and distributing the donations from
the canned food drive. You,your family, and friends can help on
Friday, December 16th from 4:00-9:00pm and Saturday, December
17th from 7:30am-1:00pm at the Brentwood Elementary Gym, 200
Griffith Lane.
Box Tops 4 Education
Keep those Box Tops 4 Education comin!!! So far we will be able to
purchase 16 books for the library with what has been turned in. A
class (who wishes to remain anonymous) is in the lead with 472
coupons, then Mrs. Blardonys class with 385 coupons who passed
Mrs. Sains Advisory class who has 367 coupons, with several other
classes right behind! Will your class be eating donuts because your
Advisory class turned in over 625 coupons by December 22? Watch
for them, cut them out, turn them in!!! Expired coupons = NO value
so please look at the date on the coupons.

TUPE Club
TUPE club members check in Dalldorf on Wednesday after school
to
see if the 2nd
Thursday of every month during lunch B works for our
club meetings. Also come by room 33 if you have not signed up for
Remind yet.
WEB Club First Meeting!
WEB
stands for Where Everybody Belongs. This new club will have
their first meeting TODAY at Lunch B in room 34. WEB Club will be
dedicated to bringing students with special needs together with their
general ed peers! Come stop by for more information--everyone is
welcome!

6th and 7th Boys Basketball Tryouts

6th
and 7th
grade boys basketball tryouts will be held on Monday
Dec. 12th
and Tuesday Dec. 13th
from 2:45 to 4:15 in the Adams
Gym. Players should see Mr. Sain, room 50, Mr. McKnight, room
29 or one of the PE teachers for a permission slip that will need
to be filled out and brought to tryouts.
6th Grade Basketball
Congratulations to the sixth grade girls basketball team for
completing an undefeated season both in tournament and
regular season play. The girls only had one contest that was
decided by fewer than 10 points. The girls were lead by an
explosive offense and a stifling defense that shut down the
opposing team. Congratulate the ladies on a job well done.
Ladies please turn in your uniforms to Coach Spencer next week.

The Book Fair Posters are on clearance for only $4 each in the
library. Theres only 1 copy of each, so first come, first served.
Snack Hut
Stop by the snack hut every Thursday after school! We now have
cool ranch and nacho cheese Doritos and Pirates Booty in
addition to all of our normal items:
Chocolate rice krispie treats, lollipops, corn nuts, Giant Chocolate
Chip cookies, mini chocolate bites, scooby snacks, pop tarts, fruit
snacks, Cheeze-Its, Smores Cereal and more!!
