I would like to let you know about our preparations for our Christmas Fair which will be held on Saturday 5
December. If you can help us with any donations, we would be very grateful as this supports the largest fundraising
event of the year. The PTFA work hard to raise funds which are directly spent on childrens resources and also on
reducing the cost of educational visits. We would like to collect:

Friday 20 November A bottle of wine (which can be placed directly into a box on the playground as you arrive)
the school council have requested a TOPSY TURVY DAY!
Children are therefore invited to think of interesting ways of coming to school wearing their uniforms back to front,
inside out, items put on in the wrong order, even with boys dressed as girls or girls dressed as boys.If they dare!

Friday 27 November Hamper foods or Tombola prizes children are invited to have a pyjama day (pumps or
trainers may be worn instead of slippers)

Friday 4 December Chocolate for the Chocolate Tombola and Cakes children are invited to dress as they like on
this day
We do really appreciate all the help you can provide and any donations will be gratefully received. Families with more
than one child may wish to bring in one gift/donation.
FASHION EVENT

If you are interested in a fashion event read on! ON Thursday 3 December at 7pm you are welcome to attend a
fashion event in the junior hall at school. Clothes will be on offer to fit ladies sized 8 to 18. These will be clothes from
popular high street stores such as Per Una, Wallis, Next, Monsoon and Oasis. Tickets are available from school and are
priced at 4. These tickets can be paid for in cash or cheques made payable to Walton le Dale Primary School. There
will also be a wine stall, card stall, gifts and jewellery stall and a cake stall! Please see a slip below informing us of your
interest and the number of tickets required for the event.
PARENTPAY - UPDATE
We would like to continue to encourage you to make online payments. It has been described as quick and easy to pay
by a number of parents who have tried it for the first time! If you still present cheques for payment however, please
offer individual cheques for each payment offered. We cannot process cheques that pay for both dinners and panto
tickets for example. We are really sorry for this..computer says no!
CHEERLEADING CLUB - LAST

The last Cheerleading Club will be held on Friday 27 November. This last session will be open to parents to view at
3.55pm.
CHRISTMAS FAIR 5

If you are interested in booking a ticket for your child/children to see Father Christmas this year at the Christmas Fair,
please complete the slip attached to this newsletter. The cost of the ticket will be 3 and there is a box to tick if you
wish to have an optional photo taken by our photographer. Places will be limited so please complete the slip and
return it to the school office with a 3 payment per child wanting a ticket.
DOGS ON SITE
It has come to our attention that dogs being brought onto the school site at home time when children are being
collected. I must ask that all parents refrain from doing this. All schools, nationally, follow a strict policy of not
allowing dogs that are pets on any school site in the interests of childrens safety.
