Dates for your diary

Autumn Days!
It is the perfect
time of year for
making a
delicious apple
crumble.
Well done Year
One!
This week our Spiritual, Moral, Social and
Cultural focus is:

Teamwork
We came up with a number of golden rules
for good teamwork in assembly this week
that the children are now putting into
practise in the classroom. These varied from
listening to one another and taking turns to
all having a shared purpose and goal with
everyone understanding the part they have
to play in the team.

We are just delighted with our new

sports kits. The football kit has been
sponsored by Co-op Funeralcare. With
thanks for the support of Mrs Foster
(Aidan and Evas Mum). The sports kit
below has been sponsored by Norkem
Ltd, a chemical company. Thanks for the
support of Mr Miller (Dad to Sophie and
Thomas).

HALF TERM
The children have worked incredibly
hard and accomplished so much over
the last eight weeks. They are
certainly due a good break.
Homework will not formally be set
over the holiday but we would
recommend that you keep up with as
much reading as possible and
possibly take the opportunity to
revise some of the previous
spellings/mental maths that have
been covered over the last half term.
We will look forward to seeing the
children when we return to school on
Tuesday 8th November.
ART/BOOK WEEK
We are looking forward to
celebrating our love of reading with
an arts based book week during the
weeks commencing 14th and 21st
November. We are planning on
redecorating our Library area with
the work produced over the couple
of weeks. In preparation for this we
are asking for you to save and send
into school as many cereal boxes as
possible as well as large, old
hardback books, shoe boxes, old
keys, buttons, ribbons and fabric
remnants. These will all be put to
good use and we will hopefully be
excited to show off our new look
library area by the end of November.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS
Children have had their individual
and family group portraits taken in
school yesterday which you should
have received. Any orders with
payment should be handed in to the
school office by the first day back
after half term (Tuesday 8th
November).
POPPIES FOR SALE
Year 4 are selling Poppies and

least 50p for any of the other bits and
