Dear Parents,
MESSAGE OF THE WEEK
th

As you are aware, we shall be finishing school at 1.15pm on Tuesday 26 July.

We would like to ask that over the summer break, the school is completely emptied of all bags and clothing to
allow for a thorough clean of the school.
Please can you also check your shelves and bedrooms and bring any library books and home-school reading
books back to school. This will help us organise our book system for the new school year.
ENTERPRISE DAY FOR OUR YEAR LEAVERS
Thank you so much for your support last Friday when our Year 6 children held their own fair raising funds for a leavers
trip. They managed to raise 684.87 which is a fantastic result and they are most grateful to you all!
INVASION GAMES
Invasion games will be on as usual this week.
RUGBY CLUB
There will be no Rugby club next week as today will be the last Rugby club session.
YEAR 4 BRASS CONCERT ASSEMBLY
We would like to make sure that all our Year 4 parents are aware that their final brass assembly will be held on
th
Thursday 14 July and will start at 11am. They have done amazingly well this year and sound just great! Hopefully,
the band will be swelling next year with so much talent! Hopefully we shall hear from our guitarists and wind players
also.
DINNER MONEY BALANCES
nd

Please make every effort to ensure that all dinner money payments are cleared before school ends on the 22 July to
help our office staff balance all accounts. With our Year 6 children moving on, any outstanding payments will be
required to be passed onto Lancashire County Council once our children have left. Many thanks for your prompt
payments; it is much appreciated by the office staff.
NURSERY
th

Nursery finishes on Monday 25 July.

JACOB BENSON PTFA 100 CLUB
An envelope has been handed in to the PTFA for the 100 Club. If you have a relative or friend whose name is Jacob
Benson who has sent in money to the school, please call the office on 01772 335065.
ALL SCHOOL TEAM KITS TO BE RETURNED
If your child has represented the school and worn a blue or red/black team kit, please wash and return it as soon as
possible. Unfortunately, we have been involved in tournaments and competitions recently without all children having
the school strip. This would be much appreciated.
