Goal: Teach children how to use their cognitive development

Objective: Will identify and recognize different scents within

a container after guessing whats inside practicing their
cognitive skills and senses

Procedure: Place peeled orange/fruit punch powder mix

inside separate containers
Seal with small lids with small holes punched in the lids
Ask children whats inside the container by smelling.
Every child do the smell test/finish after every child has
gone
Draw out what they believe it is they smell
List Materials: orange , containers with lids, paper and
crayons .

Developmental Benefits: Use their sense of smell and

guessing .

Future Plans: Use other foods for children to smell. Add

unknown item smells to challenge senses.
