Capture of legal grades, titles, and possibly the age of the roadway as an ArcGIS feature class. Please describe average daily duties required: Digitizing, updating, or creating new data; Correcting errors in shapefile geometry and attribute data; updating or creating metadata associated with the shapefile; updating or creating data dictionaries to give users more information as to the type of data stored in each attribute column, including definition of acronymns or numerical IDS and a description of the methodology used to calculate the information. What will the student learn from this experience?: The student will learn how to create and maintain feature data, create and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and how to perform quality control and quality assurance on Geographic Information System datasets. Average hours a week needed to complete this project: 17 hours per week maximum during school year. 35 hours per week maximum when school is not in session (summer, winter break) otherwise.
