LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
It is a matter of pride for me to write this letter of recommendation for my student Vishavjit Singh, for
the masters program at your esteemed university. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Mechanical Engineering, I have taught Vishavjit, Computer Aided design (CAD) and supervised his
laboratory work for the same. I know Vishavjit from last one year and can confidently state that he is a
dedicated and committed student who aspires to enhance his knowledge through higher studies abroad.
Also, he has good ethics and possesses a good moral character.
Vishavjit always displayed impressive analytical skills and a keen intellect in the class. He participated
in all classroom activities with valuable contributions. His work in the classroom was consistently
completed on time. Moreover, he was in the top 5 percent of students in his class. His strengths are his
technical proficiency, an inclination to learn, sharp intelligence and perseverance.
In 2015, Vishavjit participated in the Society of Automotive Engineers Indias (SAEINDIA) SUPRA,
which is an annual national level event and involves designing and fabrication of a formula based
racing car. He was one of the prominent members of the universitys team and was head of the
suspension system sub team. He actively participated in the fabrication and kinematic analysis of
suspension and steering system of the vehicle.
Apart from academics, Vishavjit is active in extra-curricular activities as well. Currently, he is a core
member of SAE collegiate club, under which he had organized several college workshops. Apart from
this he was joint secretary of Crispolaetia-2015, an annual cultural-technical Fest. He is also the
member of organizing committee of intra-university sports event, sports mania.
In brief, Vishavjit is a highly motivated and intelligent student with a background that has prepared him
well for the challenges of pursuing a Masters degree. Vishavjit has very clear perception of his goals
and the incessant urge for growth. I believe he will be an excellent addition to your school, and I,
therefore, recommend him without any reservation.
