1. Woke- Verb. The constant twitter posts about the children dying in Syrian
war has a lot of people woke.
Denotation: aroused from sleep.
Connotation: social awareness.
2. Savage- Adj. Sean broke up with her over a text message, what a
savage.
Denotation: fierce, violent, and uncontrolled.
Connotation: someone lacking emotion, someone who doesnt care about the
consequences of their actions, someone who is heartless.
3. Lowkey- Adj. Keep the address to the party lowkey.
Denotation: calm, not full of excitement.
Connotation: something kept under wraps from the social scene.
4. Lit- Adj. Danielle was high at the party, she got so lit
Denotation: Ignited or lighted.
Connotation: Under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or both.
5. Moe- Noun. Where are you at Moe?
Denotation: strong affection towards characters of anime.
Connotation: John Doe a term of endearment given to everyone.
6. Jawn- Adj. That jawn was nice.
Connotation: an attractive girl or also an object.
7. Bad- Adj. Sarah looked so good yesterday, shes so bad.
Denotation: of poor quality, inferior or defective.
Connotation: mainly used to describe a female that is attractive and
physically pleasing.
8. Dank- Adj. That party was so dank.
Denotation: disagreeably damp, musty, and typically cold.
Connotation: very potent drugs or something good or pleasing.
9. Beef- Noun. Beef, you dont want none dont start none.

Denotation: the flesh of a cow, bull, or ox, used as food.
Connotation: to have a grudge or start one with another person.
10. Real- Adj. A G always keeps it real.
Denotation: actually existing as a thing/occurring in fact; not imagined or
supposed.
Connotation: the action of being true to the code of ethics of ones self.
11. Finesse- Noun. I finessed my little brother out of the last donut.
Denotation: intricate and refined delicacy.
Connotation: to talk someone out of their things but not stealing.
12. Lob- Verb. Since I know Terry I had to throw my boy Joseph a lob.
Denotation: to throw or hit (a ball or missile) in a high arc.
Connotation: to hook a friend up with the opposite sex.
13. Sketchy- Adj. The man eyeing me in the candy shop is pretty sketchy.
Denotation: not thorough or detailed.
Connotation: someone who is dishonest or disputable.
14. Aggy- Verb. My mom is so aggy, shes always yelling.
Connotation: Agitated or angry.
15. Tripping- Verb. I didnt come home last night and my mom was seriously
tripping this morning.
Denotation: to stumble or fall
Connotation: when someone is in a serious state of disarray.
