A Brief Introduction
As this is the phase 2 of the internship so I
took interviews of various stakeholders.

Stakeholders
1-Autowalas
2-Students
3-Pedestrians
4-Villagers living near to the crossing.

Now Questions I asked to each of the

stake holders.

How regular do you cross the unmanned

crossing?

Have you ever witnessed any accident ?

How much dangerous unmanned railway

crossings are?

Responses by each of the stakeholders

in graphical form

Analysis of the pie chart

For the purpose of drawing the pie chart

I gave the maximum score of 10 to villagers
living near the crossing as they crossed the
unmanned crossing very frequently.. Then I
gave a score to each of the stakeholders
according to their frequency of usage of
unmanned crossing relative to the maximum
score.

As we can see from the pie chart villagers

living near the crossing are most frequent
which is obvious. The percentage of
autowalas and students are almost same as
most of the students use autos to go to
school in that area so they are almost the
same.. Pedestrians are the least frequent as
we can see from the graph.

Have you ever witnessed any accident ?

As we can see from the above bar graphs

majority of persons in each category of
stakeholders have not witnessed any
accident..One more obvious thing which we
can observe that 5 percent of villagers have
witnessed accidents in their life time which is
high relative to other stakeholders.

How much dangerous do you think

unmanned railway crossings are?

In response to the above question majority of

the persons in each of the stakeholders
category told they consider it as a very
serious issue as many times people are in a
rush and they dont very whether a train is
coming or not and any major accident can
take place any time.. They also told that the
situation is much worse in winter as the

visibility is very low due to fog. Since the

response of all the persons in each of the
stakeholder was more or less the same I did
not draw any graph to represent the data
graphically.

Conclusion
In my city a large no. of people use the
unmanned railway crossing Almost all type
of people have been covered in the type of
stakeholders that I have chosen.. So, we can
safely assume that this problem affects a
large no. of persons. Also the population of
such persons is a significant percentage of
the total population.. And a majority of
persons in each category of stakeholders
cross the unmanned railway crossing
frequently.. So, it somewhat affects their
daily life.
In fact when I was interviewing one of the
pedestrians he told me that his son goes to
school in which he has to cross the

unmanned railway crossing daily and in

winter season he always fears for his son
since in winter the visibility is very low due
to fog and the probability of a major accident
is very high.
