Topic Selected:What does the research say about advantages and disadvantages
of distance education

1. LITERATURE REVIEW:
What does the literature/research say about this issue/topic? By using NAU
Library or Online Search engines, conduct a literature review.

You need to include 5 different sources (book, journal article, web article
etc.) in your review. Try to use current sources as much as possible.

You need to summarize and synthesize your sources by discussing a

common theme or issue.

You don't need to critique your sources

You don't need to evaluate your sources (if the sources are trustworthy,
weather the author has a bias or not)

You need to provide background information such as history and

definitions

Brief Literature Review:There are two aspects of every thing.as we talking

about advantages and disadvantages of distance education.
ist we will have a view of advantage.in such learning we can seek
knowledge from any corner of world.so distance has no part in this
regard.second most important thing is time.you can manage your own time
when you want to get education.also it has freedom of time so no specific
time when you must be appear in class or instituation.
third advanage is so healthy for distance learner and that is no travelling
every day basis.so you dont need to go to college or university everyday.its
mean no buses no cars ,no stucking in traffic no noise,no air pollution etc.
most powerful advantage is that you can do your own job on normal time
frame.so no need to panic for job and study both.you can relax and then
can have youe on line learing.
Now come to disadvantage.there are few disadvantage as compare to
advantages.
in distance learning you cant meet your teaqchers and class mates.means

you just be a freiend of internet and computer.so you dont have your
college life and enjoyment.
most important thing is that you cant get help of any of your teachers or
classmates mean you be on your own.
also a big disadvantage of such learning is that most of big companies
dont accept on line degree if you apply for a job.
also on line videos some time not so helpful to give you the proper
information of your subject.
also in some parts of world internet speed is an issue.

2. REFLECTION:

What is your personal opinion on this issue? Do you agree with the
research? If you agree or disagree, please explain why?

Provide examples/experiences regarding this issue from school

perspective or If you are not working in a school, from your profession. Be
specific with your examples. You can mention software/hardware names,
specific methods that you plan to use, etc.

How would you implement this research in your career? (At least 1
paragraph)

Reflection:every mirror has two sides.dark and light.so same case in this topic.as
we know that there are more advantages as compare to disadvantages.in distance
learning you can have your own time of learning .so you dont need to worry about
time .you dont need travel every day to get education.no need to going abroad for
a high reputation instituation.low fees and no need of books etc.
in disadvantage there are few things like you cant have that enviroment which you
can have in real college or university.and second thing is lack of help as hou can
get from your teachers etc.
example.in our university there was a female who was working 7 days a week from
9-5 so she didnt have time to complete her degree and she was the alone person
of her faimly for support.and her all promotion of job was depented on this degree
so she applied on line degree and then she got it and then she promoted to high
position in her company with high salary.
i will implement this research in my career kin such way that i will courage more
and more people to apply for on line degree if they cant affort to coe every day or
manage such things.our main motive to provide education in easy way so we
must provide such facilities and enviroment .in my view on line education or
distance learning is the best solution in this regard.
