To Whom It May Concern:
The Education Undergraduate Society arranges and provides Professional Development
workshops for education students at the University of Lethbridge. This letter is written at the
request of Holly Stringam who attended the following seminars during the months of
September-November 2016.
Dave Adams: First Alberta Certified School in the Country of Oman
Not only is Dave the current Head Coach of the U of Ls Womens Pronghorn Basketball team, but he is a
former School Principal of five different schools in three different districts. Daves career is highly
experienced based and not academic based. His favourite school challenge was opening the first Alberta
certified school in the country of Oman: the subject of which he will host his PD session on.
Lorraine Beaudin: Gaming and Gamification in Education
Want to learn how to gamify your classroom? This session will provide a brief overview of basic
definitions and statistics on gaming and gamification, then explore how you may use gamification in your
future classroom!
Marian Biggins: Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium
This PD Session is aimed at preservice teacher that might become engaged in the curriculum
redevelopment that is going on right now in Alberta.
