Please accept my highest recommendation for Adam Parkinson. I have been Adams professor and moderator for over three years. Adam has taken ED 160 Aims of American Education and ED 491 Jr. Field with me, achieving grades of A in both courses. Adam is the Vice President of the Student Education Association and the Vice President of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education. I moderate both student groups, and I have worked closely with Adam on innumerable projects. Adam is an excellent student with a GPA of 3.9. He will graduate in December 2016 with a BA in American Studies and Elementary Education and teaching certification in elementary all subjects K-6, as well as middle school math and social studies. Adams honors and achievements are numerous. He has received the 2014 Gold Medal from the School of Education and he is a member of the Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success. He has received the Excellence Award from the Community Media Network and the Urban School Boards Vice President Award from the South Jersey African American Chamber of Commerce. Adam has demonstrated outstanding leadership and given tremendous service to Saint Peters University and the community. He has guided the Student Education Association which has greatly benefited the women and children of Project Home in Jersey City. He currently serves as the President of the West New York Board of Education. Since January 2014, he has served on the following committees: Community Relations, Personnel, Special Education, and Technology. Adam has volunteered with New City Kids, and he has developed programs for the West New York Recreation Department. Adam has also been awarded the famous Order of the Cross Keys for service to the Saint Peters University and the community. Adam is truly one in a million - a natural teacher! He is creative and kind, humorous, hardworking, and motivating. Adam has excellent experience throughout his sophomore and junior clinic experiences, and he will complete his student teaching internship this fall. It has been a privilege to work with Adam.
