Icys athletic skills and Carls musical ability certainly passed along to their children, and all of
the children credit their development to their balanced love of academics and something else.

Words of Ms. Susan Aldridge, our rst scholarship recipient of the Icy Lee Rainey Legacy Scholarship:
After reading your mother's background and history, I was amazed at how
much she sounds like me and understood her concerns. Most of all,
I would like for you and your family to know that I understand
what it is like to have carried multiple responsibilities with me
for so long and a long overdue desire to want
to continue with school.
