Chapter 3 Assignment: How did you react to Brians thoughts and actions? Do you think that
he is sensible or unreasonable?
I think that his thoughts and actions were unreasonable because sure you feel sick
when a plane is crashing but he shouldve been even more brave. Brian shouldve been more
serious so then he could land the crashing plane more safe then what he actually did. I think
that Brian should have at least try to save the pilot because then he wouldnt be in that situation.

Chapter 4 Assignment: Write 5 similes about Brians current state and explain their meaning.
Use a Google Table to do this.

Chapter 5 Assignment:Positive Thinking

Many people believe that if they have a positive attitude, good things will happen. They
believe that people with negative attitudes somehow prevent good things from happening. Write
an editorial in which you support the power of positive thinking. Use Brians experience as an
example of how positive thinking can help people. At the conclusion of your editorial, encourage
people to adopt positive thoughts and to see what happens.
Positive thinking can help people because if youre stuck on something deserted than
you just think of ways to survive like you can make tools around you, you could make weapons,
food, shelter all of those stuff with things around you. The possible thing that is always around
are trees and rocks and vines so with all of those you can make a spear and if you have have
supplies in your pocket than find things that you need. Ive been in a situation like this but it was
something about acting right now 11/2/16 there was a Christmas play. I wanted to be Randolph
but I couldnt why because there were many little kids who didnt go to to this school and they
got the parts so now im back stage there were so many boring jobs like lights and props and
hats, costumes but then I found the right job stage manager the stage manager gets to do
everything. Its always important to plan and think to be calm.

Chapter 6 Assignment:
I chose the flashback when Brian remembered about his mom and her boyfriend.
Brian didnt like it, it hurt him he didnt like his moms boyfriend. Brian wanted both of his

parents again he didnt want them to be divorced. He wanted to be a full family again. If
his parents werent divorced he wouldnt be in this mess.
Chapter 7 Assignment:Create a bubble map with 6 external bubbles. In the center, write
conflicts. Identify and describe 6 different conflicts youve seen in the book.

Chapter 8 Assignment:Retell a time when you had a dream that ended up being more of a
message to you December 23rd 2015 my parents bought me 2 lockets one for me and for
someone else my parents told to give my second locket to someone I cared about. Later that
night I had a dream when I gave my locket to someone the scenery was winter and it was in a
box the question was I didnt know who. I was planning on giving up till I realized I havent been
trying hard enough I realized that the person was my friend that I had a crush on since 4th
grade who is now in O-204. I also realized that there was a note with it and almost everybody in
my family told me to give it to him so I did. Im wasnt shocked that he didnt have a reaction
since I was his best friend but since we arent anymore Im still gonna give him the locket
because I care about him deeply.

longer and will turn big

Chapter 11 Assignment:Put yourself in a catastrophic situation. How would it change you?

There was this one time when I was left alone in the mall I had 100 dollars from my
birthday and I went to this anime store to buy stuff and I bought a lot. My mom didnt know
where I was so she called me on my phone but she took it away from me because it was a

weekend. I had a lot of money left so I bought some Christmas presents and I saw Santa I
almost got kicked out because I ripped off the beard because I knew that wasnt Santa because
he was everywhere I bought my favorite cousin money, call of duty, and pictures, I gave my 3rd
cousin makeup, money, and posters. Then I went to claire's to buy jewelry and other stuff but
then I got bored. I still had a lot of money and thats because I bought a lot of cheap stuff I got
hungry so I went to the food court I got Pizza hut and Starbucks.

It really changed me because my mom found me so now I get to stay home alone
walk to school walk home from school and do anything I want now. She said that my head
turned crazy to run away but I wanted to be crazy besides I was 4 then. It was pretty boring to
be by myself so I had to be with her the rest of the mall trip. I got to keep the stuff and we
bought wrapping paper to wrap the presents and bows for decoration. I got to decorate and
wrap the presents and decorate the house lots of people forgot about the story because they
don't understand now It made me brave because I was alone for a whole day in a mall with
thousands of people without a single scratch.

Chapter 12 Assignment:Suppose that Brian has a pencil. To help sort out his feelings about
his parents, he writes to one of them on a piece of birch bark. Write the letter that Brian might
write to his mother or his father. Keep in mind the issues and the details that are revealed in the
novel. Remember, too, that for certain reasons, Brian does not want to tell his father the Secret.

Dear Mother,
Im stuck in a forest because the pilot had a heart attack the plane landed in a lake but I
managed to survive. Ive been in a lot of pain lately but there recovering very quick I learned
how to make fire it was tough though. Ive been waiting day after day for someone to rescue me
but no luck so please call someone to get me. DOnt worry I have shelter and food Im
organized Im getting all the supplies I need.
With Gratitude,
Brian
Chapter 13 Assignment: Write a blog from Brians POV. Be sure to use specific information
from the text, connect with the reader, and use emotional appeal.

Chapter 14 Assignment:Create a new invention that could help Brian survive in the wilderness.
I chose to create a teleportation device with just one press of a button. There multiple
colors for the flash there's red, green, blue, even donut and a rainbow. The instructions
are simple just turn on the on button and press the grumpy cat button and think of where
you wanna go. Wanna take somebody with you no problem you can bring as much
people as you like just think of the people you wanna bring with you and they will be
where you will be. You can be anywhere even space just be prepared.

I think it will help Brian because he could teleport home with his mom or dad. If Brian had
it during the plane crash then he wouldnt have a single scratch on him. If brian was
being chased he would've used it and would be safe. Brian wouldnt be in this mess if
there was a teleportation device. Thats why I made a teleportation device.
