Course Description

This course provides the scientific basis for of the design of

thermal systems based on heat transfer requirements. Introduction
to heat transfer, conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer
are covered. Detailed analysis on steady state and transient
conductions are taught. External as well as internal forced
convection and natural convection are also taught. Application of
conduction and convection heat transfer in designing the heat
exchanger is also carried out in detail.

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering
