A3 Animal Farm Study

Napoleon: is one of the pigs that becomes the leader of animal farm, he eventually kicks
out one of the other leaders, named Snowball. Then as the book progresses
Napoleon-- as his name behooves him-- starts to act like the human oppressors.
It all starts off with Old Major calling everyone into the barn for some kind of
meeting when the humans were asleep. He reminded us how animals live short and
miserable lives, with barely enough to eat, only to be slaughtered mercilessly when their
bodies have run out of use. However, Old Major told us the reason why animal lives are
the way they are, is because of our human persecutors, and how they take all our
resources, yet never returning the favor. So with great animosity we aspired to remove
humans from the farm, so we wouldnt have to suffer anymore. He then goes on about
a dream he had where animals were happy, free, and had the perfect comradery, as
long as we avoid any human activities. I had to give it to the old geezer, if we can
overthrow the humans, we could finally live our lives to the fullest. He then started
singing Beasts of England, in which we followed suit. We would have sung all night if
it wasnt for Mr. Jones blasting his gun out in the open; my guess was to shut us up.
Three days later, Major dies; a new area has begun.

Kang 2

Three months have passed and a bunch of the animals have been planning on
how were going to take over the farm. Most of the work is done by me, Snowball, and
the other pigs. We started to form this idea called Animalism, where all animals are
equal and calls one another Comrade. Many of animals less intelligent animals dont
seem to understand it yet, especially the carriage horse Mollie; she keeps worrying
about who will tie ribbons in her hair or who will feed her sugar cubes. Snowball has
tried to tell her the truth about those things, how they represent slavery and such, but I
dont think shes ready to accept the truth.
The rebellion, however, occurred much earlier than anticipated. Mr. Jones forgot
to feed us again, and decided to whip us when we wouldnt work. Thats when we
finally decided we had enough of his oppression and attacked him and his men; they
hardly put up a fight. Everyone decided to sing Beasts of England again out of
celebration. The pigs and I have started to take charge of the farm, first by renaming it
Animal Farm, and writing our new seven commandments. Things will finally change for
the better, and Im going to make sure of it!
