This scripts purpose is to clearly define placement of specific lines within the game as well as
declaring the naming convention of audio files recorded.
This file will need to be updated with each script change, whether on the page or in the recording
booth.
KEY
Scenes will be labeled with a number (ex: Scene 1) and represent a specific grouping of Voice Over.
This grouping will be more clearly defined next to the scene declaration (ex: Scene 1 Tutorial)
Lines will be labeled with a number following the scene number and an underscore (ex: sc1_1). This
label will carry over to the naming of specific audio files.
Pickup lines that are re-recorded and may include variations of the regular line. They will be labeled
with a pu (ex: sc1_pu1).
Inserts are lines that may be added after a scene is recorded. They will be represented with letters
(ex: Sc1_1a). If the insert comes before the first line of a scene, it will feature no number and only a
letter (ex: sc1_a).
FILE NAME EXAMPLES: Sc1_1_tutorial, Sc1_pu1_tutorial, Sc1_1a_tutorial, Sc1_a_tutorial
Given the open-world experience of Focal Length, it may not be possible to label scenes in a
traditionally, chronological order and based on location. Scene grouping and labeling will be based on
common themes.

We will be used to describe what the audience is seeing on screen and may include actions out of
the players control.
The Player will be used to describe actions specifically controlled by the player. Such as, The
Player looks up or The Player orders a hamburger. Some actions, such as pressing a button on the
controller, will be scripted but do not necessarily appear on screen: The Player presses X.

ARTHUR is a 45 year-old divorced father of two who puts work first. He is a confident man that
assumes leadership in most situations he finds himself, but often takes on a fatherly role with those
that work for him. Whisky is one vice he often grants himself after a hard-days work. On particularly
stressful days he may drink a little on the job, but his proven track record of success has led to many
co-workers looking the other way. Outspoken and extroverted, hes quick to express what hes
thinking, but he keeps his softer emotions to himself. He fought in an overseas war. The experience
left him mildly shell-shocked, but hes never been diagnosed with PTSD (by himself or a professional.)
Having children has caused his ability to stomach war to wane.
