Faculty in the Area of Information Systems, Business Analytics and Data Mining
Faculty should be a MBA/MCA/MSc/M.Tech. with PhD in the area of Information System
and Data Analytics who can handle independently courses at under graduate, post graduate
and PhD level. The focus areas include System Analysis and Design, Business and Big
Data Analytics, Social Media and Predictive Analytics. The faculty should deliver application
courses in different domains of business like finance and risk Management, supply chain
and retail analytics, web and social media Faculty with a PhD from abroad/ premium
business school like IITs/IIMs will have an added advantage. Faculty should have
demonstrated sufficient research and published in these areas of interest.

School of Management (SOM) at BML Munjal University is looking for faculty members at
various levels (Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor).
The incumbent is expected to perform three critical tasks at School of Management i.e.
Knowledge Creation (through research and publication in ABDC rated/FT 40 journals),
Knowledge Dissemination (through teaching, training and counselling) and Institution
Building (through sharing various key academic and administrative responsibilities). The
ideal combination of contribution is 40:40:20 respectively.

Role of Faculty at SOM


The faculty members are expected to play the role of gardeners who have dedication
towards building a nursery of future leaders. They should bring in more practical and
experiential learning into the classroom and produce visibility in the process. The faculty
should contribute towards building the university as a repository of knowledge in South Asia.
The pedagogy should be Indian in nature and international in outlook. The faculty, instead of
focussing on individual discipline, should open their mind and show them the possibilities of
working across the domains and subjects. The faculty members are required to demonstrate
the core values of the university in their thought and conduct at the school level. The school
prefers promoting team level work in both teaching and research across discipline while
respecting the individual brilliance.
