Life in cities

Cities are massively developing nowadays because of progress in various

fields and many people believe that cities can offer them just facilities. Because
of this many of them move in cities in hope of a better life. However, cities have
both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, one major advantage of being a resident in a city is the
fact that people can benefit from various means of transportation in order to
reach any place of the city. For the citizens of the city, means of transportation,
such as busses, trains, subways or planes, represent cheap and convenient ways
to commute and to travel, being often faster than a personal car. Also, a very
important advantage in cities is the education. This is because schools, high
schools and universities found in cities offer higher possibility for students to
learn and develop, and also many of the top educational centers are found in
cities.
On the other hand, a significant disadvantage of living in a city is that
people are always in a rush and busy with their career and job. Because of this,
they are not as healthy as people who live in the countryside, meaning that they
will not live as long and their wellbeing is shaken. Also, the social life is
considered by many people another disadvantage of living in the city, especially
when it is considered the fact that people living in the countryside are much
happier and have a better relationship with their neighbours. Moreover, while the
residents of cities are always busy, people living in the countryside are happier
and will know much more people.
To conclude, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of a
city, because offers better facilities and a high standard live, being great places
to live and grow.
