Offshore Applications
As offshore oil and gas exploration continues to move
into ultra deep waters, drilling deeper wells, the
traditional mooring system becomes less feasible.
The solution is a DP capable vessel.

DP Opportunity
There is an opportunity to retrofit vessels or barges with dynamic positioning
systems all while eliminating the need for major hull modifications , dry
docking and long conversion times.

Portable Dynamic Positioning System

Modular deck mounted azimuthing
thrusters with separate hydraulic power
units and a DP control van interfaced
and ready to go.
The whole deck mounted system can be quickly
installed dockside without dry-docking and without
extensive modifications to the vessel so your vessel of
opportunity can be ready to go in minimal conversion
time.
Power ranges: 225 kW to 2,250 kW (300 hp to 3,000
hp), DP Systems, Controls, and deck mounted or
internal skid Hydraulic Power Units (HPU).
Thrustmasters Portable DP Systems are available for
ships and barges from 30 to 180 meters (100 to 600
ft) in length and can be provided per DPS-0 to DPS-3
requirements of any classification society.
