I was excited to see the position of Junior Designer had recently became available. Im
a student at Tawas Area High School, and have a background in graphic design and art
classes that Im positive will be a valuable contribution to the many projects the
company takes on.
During my time in high school I have taken on multiple classes and projects that have
provided me with valuable information for this position. Ive previously taken a first year
computer graphics class, in which we mastered photo shop, typeface, and layout within
pages. Im currently enrolled in an advanced computer graphics class, in which we are
mastering the entirety of the Adobe suite and taking on challenges of conveying
messages in multiple forms. Im also currently enrolled in a drawing and painting class,
which has provided me with excellent understanding of color and the properties and
elements of art, as well as allowed me to improve upon previously established art skills.
On my own, I have five years of artistic history, three of which included use of a Wacom
Intuos 3 tablet. The experience and knowledge gained from these classes will be
invaluable to portraying your company's message in the most aesthetically pleasing yet
clear and concise way.
