CONUNDRUM
Event Plan.
Event Description :
CONUNDRUM is time planned , fast pace puzzle solving competition. The event will
be conducted in three rounds.Each round will be dealing its own rules and regulations,
thus testing the different liabilities of the students.
The students / partcipants will be given a puzzle in a paper. The quizmaster will deal
with the students for the three rounds respectively.
Round 1 : Can you remember the past ?
Round 1 : The round will be mainly dealing the theoretical knowledge of the students.
However the event will be based totally on the name of the round. The name of round
one is "Can you remember the past". The questioning pattern would be based on
the name of the round. The questions would be displayed on the screen one by one on
the screen for 30 seconds. No repetition of the questions would be encouraged. Round
1 would have 20 questions. Extra 5 minutes would be given for the students to finalize
the answers and checking purposes.

But the questions would be screened separately, thus they have to be quick and
try to remember the questions accordingly.
Round 2 : Observe , Remember , Identify.
The round will be totally based on the images, GIF's and also videos. Questioning
pattern of round 1 will already be included in this round, along with it we will
including new pattern that is identification and pinpointing. The student should also
concentrate on the questions accordinlgy.Each question will be displayed for 45
seconds. The number of questions in this event are 15. No questions would be
repeated.
Questioning Pattern:
Name the reason for the following problem.

We will also linking the questions as provided in round 1. Thus student would
have to deal with both the situations.
Round 3 - Observe, Remember, and Identify, Correlate.

Students have to deal with the images, GIFs, Videos, various data's and also the
theoretical questions. But the students would have to correlate the answers that have
been received from the answers. And the final box of the puzzle would not have any
clue and students have to identify based on the answers that they have received. All
the answers would be leading and relating to a single discipline. Each question will be
screened for 1 minute 15 seconds only. No repetition of the questions would be
entertained. There would be certain student benefit questions also.(bonus)
Questioning Pattern:
If we have screened the questions related to the rig components then the final answer
that would not any clue will automatically be an OILRIG. As all the rig components
would be found in a rig only.
The answers would be rotary table, drawworks,drillpipe,crown,drillpipe etc.
Note - Name of the rounds is yet to be decided.
Winning Criteria :
The team which would secure more points in the final round would be declared as a
winner.
In case of any tie between the two teams ,
The one with the more bonus questions answered would be considered.
Even then there is a tie , the team with more number of points in round 2
would be considered and the same pattern continues.
