Hayao Miyazaki was an anime animator from Japan and is recognised as the

greatest animating directors in Japan for the entertaining plots, compelling

characters and the amount of breath taking animation produced by him. He is
now 75 years old, and was born in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan and was an animator
from a young age, he started his career in 1963 as an animator from the Toei
Douga studio in Japan and was involved in many early classics in Japanese
animation. From a young age he commanded attention with his sensational
drawing ability and the endless amounts of movie ideas he proposed to the
studio.
Within 10 years, Hayao moved to a pro studio along with Isao Takahata, then he
went onto Nippon Animation in 1973; this is where he was massively involved in
the World Masterpiece Theatre TV animation series for the next 5 or so years. In
five years time he went onto direct his first TV series Future Boy Conan *insert
clip of that here*. During the rest of the 1970s, Hayao worked on projects like
Panda! Go Panda, Heidi, Girl of The Alps as well as Anne of Green Gables.
In addition to animation, Miyazaki also drew Manga, his major work was the
Nausicaa manga *insert pic*, an epic tale he worked on intermittently from 1982
to 1984 while he was also busy making animated films, another manga; Hikoutei
Jidai, was later evolved into his 1992 film porco rosso. *insert clip* Miyazakis
latest film is Howls Moving Castle which was produced in 2004, this was based
on the novel of Diana Wynne Jones. He went on to say this was going to be his
last film, which was a statement that he said before some of the completion of
his earlier films. The year 1984 saw the release of the animated film Nausicaa of
the Valley of the wind. The movie was well-received by the audiences and
critics, since it explored many themes such as the environment as well as
feminism.
Around the time of 2002, American film critic Roger Ebert suggested that
Miyazaki may be the best animation film maker ever in history which was
praising the depth and artistry of his films, that was a career that spanned over 5
decades, and in that time he attained international acclaim as a masterful
storyteller and as a maker of his anime feature films. Also in his successful career
as an anime creator he co-founded Studio Ghibli along with Isao Takahaka that
was spoken about earlier in the video.

introduced such astounding new physical dimensions and such a flexibility, then
Lasseter got fired. After a while Lasseter went on to co-found Pixar animation

feature film; Toy Story, he was a director and a producer, which after Toy Story he
went on to oversee eight more films (A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc,

cartoons from Saturday morning TV fodder into one of the biggest money makers
in the film industry single handily.

John is now the Creative Officer for both Pixar and Disney Animation Studios and
is now acknowledged to be the worlds most imaginative geek. In addition to
animating films and doing other stuff for the companies he oversees the theme
