NESTINGunderstandhowtonestthepartlistandwhatvariablesareinvolvedinnesting.
What is a nest?
Nestsarecomprisedofpartsthathavebeenpositionedonaplateinaparticularorientation.In
ordertocreateoutputforanestinProNest,anestmusthaveatleastonepartaddedtoit.
Belowisanexampleofanestwith24partsnested
Nestingcanbedonemanually,wherepartsareaddedtotheplateoneatatime.Apartor
groupofpartscanalsobearrayedontoanest.Nestingcanalsobedoneautomatically.
Nestsarecreatedandmodifiedafterpartshavebeenaddedtothepartlist.Thefirstphaseof
nestinginvolvesaddingpartstoyournest.Oncethepartsarenested,manyfeaturesusedto
modifythenestwillbecomeavailable.
Theycanbemoved,rotated,clustered,tabbed,duplicated,andmirrored;cutdirection
canbechanged;andleadscanbeadjusted.Theplatecanbecroppedandthecutting
sequencecanbechanged.
