Tun Tan Cheng Lock was the founder or first president of the
Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA). He are one of the founding
fathers who fought for the countrys independence. Along for Tunku
Abdul Rahman so Tun V. T. Sambanthan, Tun Tan Cheng Lock
travelled to London for talks about Malayas independence to
the British. Tun Tan Cheng Lock is born in Malacca in 1883. After he
graduating from Raflles College in Singapore. Tun Tan Cheng Lock
teaches for a while before going into the rubber industry. He was
appointed Justice of the Peace of the King of England in 1912. After
that, he held important posting where he advocated fairness and equality.
Then, he began hes fight for the countrys independence. In 1957, he
was awarded the title of Tun for his service to the country.
