Some tips for making your poster more appealing:
Keep in mind that youre trying to draw an audience from 8 to 10 feet
away. Create a prominent title for the presentation we recommend using 250- 500 mm (1-2 inch) letters. To make the text good for reading at arms length use no smaller than 125 mm (1/2 inch) letters. Try to get across the key points of your paper and highlight these, rather than trying to fill the whole poster with text. Use elements to structure the ideas, findings, etc.: bullets, enumeration, tables, clip art, graphs, figures, photos. Consider using colour to draw attention to various parts of your presentation. Get advice from your universitys graphic design unit or a photocopying centre to help you visually communicate your ideas.
