GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION

OF
ELECTRONIC POSTERS (E-POSTERS)

ALL POSTER PRESENTERS MUST READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

E-posters will provide the opportunity for learning long after the conclusion of Plastic Surgery The
Meeting 2019. The following points are provided to guide poster presenters through the preparation
and submission process for their E-poster(s).

You will receive an email from our audiovisual company with a link to upload your
E-Poster in late August/early September.

PREPARATION OF E-POSTERS
Computer Guidelines:
E-posters must be prepared via computer according to the following guidelines:
• All E-Posters must be in PowerPoint.
• All E-Posters are limited to 15 slides.
• Do not include video on your E-Poster.
• Do not use animation schemes in your slides.
• Do not use transitions between slides.
• Your First or Second Slide must include: Title of the Poster, Author’s Name(s),
Institution, and Disclosure of Relevant Financial Interests for All Authors. If you have
nothing to disclose, your slide should read “Nothing to disclose.”

Slide Format:
The following are suggested to provide the optimum clarity and readability for your E-Poster
slides:
• A minimum slide typeface of 36 point.
• A san serif typeface such as Helvetica or Arial.
• Use the “On-Screen” Show Page Set-up.
• Use Color for Emphasis only. White or Yellow Lettering on a blue background is attractive
and easy to read. Avoid red and green text. Be considerate of those that are color blind.

Slide Content:
Your E-Poster should contain the following information:
• Title slide and disclosure.
• Objective of the study.
• Materials and methods.
• Results and conclusions.
• Significance of the findings.

Computer Slide Lettering:

• Limit the message on the slide to seven lines or less.
• Try not to use more than seven words per line.
• Two or more simple slides are better than one complicated slide.
• Keep illustrations simple. A slide is not a textbook. Significance of data can be grasped
more quickly in a simple graph format than in tabular format. Use rounded figures. Use
captions sparingly.
• Darker saturated backgrounds work best.
• If original artwork is generated on a computer slide program such as PowerPoint,
Freelance or Keynote, the printed format of the artwork is 7½ x 10 inches. The minimum
height of lowercase font should be 36 point.

Your presentation should be pre-submitted.

Save your file with a title that includes your LAST NAME and part of your poster TITLE
